While the seeds of photography were planted much earlier, it was during the quiet pause of the Covid lockdown that he finally acted on his long-standing passion. He enrolled in a formal photography certification course, and soon embarked on a journey of artistic growth.

His first steps were humble. He had a bunch of eager friends, a camera set to auto mode, wide-eyed like the vast wilderness of Tanzania, trying to freeze moments that moved his soul. Each image captured became a stepping stone, and with every shutter click, he began to train his eye. From understanding light and shadow to mastering framing and post-processing, photography turned into a second language for him.

He began to travel extensively, both across India and internationally, often in harsh and unforgiving terrains, be it the biting cold of Norway or our Himalayas, the arid heat of the African savannah, or the unpredictable monsoon forests of the Western Ghats. He often waits for hours, braving nature’s extremes, simply for a glimpse of a rare bird in flight or the golden hue of dawn breaking over misty hills.
