Cataracts are unfortunately irreversible. It is also a leading cause of preventable blindness in adults. This happens due to the natural process of aging in the lens. The only treatment for cataracts is surgery. No dietary changes will help to reduce cataracts.
Both procedures are not the same. The Femto laser that is used in cataract surgery is to make the procedure more precise accurate and safe. Whereas phacoemulsification which is also time-tested is ultrasound energy.
So during cataract surgery, the Femto laser is used to make incisions i.e. opening in the eye, followed by an opening in the cataract and breaking the contract into small pieces. This helps in the next step of phacoemulsification in which less energy is used during the procedure.

The surgery becomes entirely pain-free after the installation of these eye drops making it a smooth and comfortable procedure that gets done within a matter of minutes.
After cataract surgery is done, the lens is replaced by an artificial intraocular lens implant also known as IOL. Lens measurement becomes very specific when it comes down to individual human eyes. It is one of the most important steps before cataract surgery.
In today’s modern era there are many types of IOLs available in the market. We have Trifocal IOLs, we have EDOF extended depth of vision IOLs and we have toric IOLs to get rid of the cylindrical number for distance. After cataract surgery, we can remove the distance between intermediate and near glasses forever.
It is a U.S. FDA-approved diagnostic tool designed to treat dry eyes. Natural tears are one of the most essential films present on the surface of the eye that give good results after laser or cataract surgery. This diagnostic tool helps in identifying all the defects of the glands in the lids as well as the integrity of the tear film. It is an essential step before laser cataract surgery or laser refractive surgery
Usually all examinations of the eye before cataract surgery are done in a sitting position. While a surgery is always done in a lying down position. What is noted with a number of years of experience is that when the patient lies down during surgery, a natural phenomenon of rotation of the eyeball on its axis happens, and that’s called cyclotorsion.
