Dr. Sumer Doctor has completed his advanced subspecialty fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery and Ocular Oncology from the prestigious L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad where he also served as chief clinical fellow.

He has performed over a thousand oculoplasty procedures ranging from aesthetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty, periocular fat transfer), functional eyelid reconstruction and ptosis repair, tear duct surgery (endoscopic DCR), orbit and thyroid eye disease decompressions, ocular oncology and socket surgery. He has multiple PubMed-indexed publications to his credit and serves in a leadership role as the India representative on the Young-APSOPRS executive council. He has been recognised with awards at national Oculoplasty conferences.
